Meet the Band

Randy's musical journey is a testament to his passion for the electric bass and his dedication to the art of contemporary jazz. Hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, Randy's musical roots run deep, having collaborated with a multitude of groups and artists over the years.

As a founding member and integral part of the contemporary jazz group @Jazz, Randy co-produced three CDs: "About Time," "Hang Time," and the electrifying "Live at the Pink House." These albums not only showcased his bass prowess but also highlighted his skills as a producer, helping to shape the sound and vision of the group.

In addition to his work with @Jazz, Randy had the opportunity to perform and record with renowned composer and arranger Bill Susman, co-producing the festive and stylish CD "Christmas Cool." This collaboration further solidified Randy's reputation as a sought-after bassist and producer within the contemporary jazz community.

Throughout his career, Randy has had the privilege of sharing the stage with a diverse array of regional and national recording artists, including the likes of Martin Rossip (Temptations, Four Tops, Wynton Marsalis), Scott Barnholt, David Becker (Grammy nominated jazz guitarist), and Mimi Fox (Favored Nation jazz guitar recording artist). His performances at prestigious venues such as the San Jose Jazz Festival, the iconic Kuumbwa Jazz Center, the NAMM show, and the Shoreline Amphitheater opening for the Neville Brothers have earned him a strong reputation as a band leader, producer and player.
